Has our moral compass failed us?

Image
The moral compass...the light that is supposed to point us in the right direction and keep us there so that we don't stray off the path, has disappeared, or at least, to many of us. has taken a sabbatical. What happened? Where did it go?  Better yet, did we ever have one and what about right and wrong? The difference between right and wrong is no longer a clear choice.  The lines have been blurred. In todays marketplace of ideas, politics, finance, business, etc., it's no longer making a right or wrong choice. That is a dualistic mindset that no longer applies to many. The right choice has been replaced by the lesser of two evils. We now look at choosing the one that hurts the less. Right and wrong is a matter of pereception.  Morality is never a matter of perception. It exists on it's own. To do what is moral rises above right and wrong; it is never up for debate. Our moral compass didn't fail us...we failed it.

What if others could hear our thoughts? (formerly the Gift of Failure)

Image
Question... what if others could hear our thoughts? What would it mean  to our family; our work or career; our friendships, people that we meet for the first time, etc.? What would they hear? Would it be devastating or encouraging news to them? Hopefully they would hear the good that we see in others...the compliments, the happiness,  the love, the kindness, the encouragement, etc. Unbfortunately, they would also hear the cruel, mean, back-stabbing, wish they were hurt or dead, jealous, envy, judgemental, thoughts as well. We know this is true, because we've all done it. It satisfies us at times to see people fall. It's our wicked, shadow self at work. Negative energy is stronger than positive energy because we give it  more freedom to remind us that life is unfair and we didn't get to grab the brass ring. Negativity teaches us that the quickest way to success is for others to fail. This is because we never come to grips with failure. So, how can we make a course correcti...

Is this the life we imagined?

Image
We had plans...after high school; after college, after our first job, our first relationship, etc. We thought  about what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. We had plans to find our partner in life, get a  good paying job, have kids, the car, the house, you name it we wanted it. Then life got in the way and continued to get in the way, as we stumbled our way in and out of jobs,  relationships, financial burdens, etc. We became zombies of the cosmos. What should have been the perfect life, melted away before our eyes, as we resigned ourselves to the humdrum life we now have. We lost the dream...or did we? Dreams and plans in life seem to come and go, but are they gone forever?  No...they are buried in our subconscious, waiting to be resurrected, but in diffrent forms. The poet, dreamer, artist, writer, dancer, musician, athlete, that is buried within us somehow comes  out but as a better dream, a better plan, a better way of life. If life has gotten...

Fitting into Life

Image
See if this resonates with you.  It's 2024, things are going well in my life, health is good, family is more  than I deserve, finances are okay, could be better but also could be worse, buay writing my third book, I  have a nice home with my beautiful wife, beautiful children, great daughter in law, son in law, and awesome grandchildren. Then why do I feel like I do not fit in to life?   Some friends don't get me or at least don't wantv to get me since "I've changed." The Universe said to me, 'you're looking at it all wrong. "Don't try to fit into life, have life fit into you!" Yes, I've changed, we all change...it's called an awakening  but it took time as awakenings often do,.  I'm evolving into what I was meant to be all along; an authentic person. If you ever feel that life is getting in your way, stop what you're doing and get in the way of life. Live life on your terms and nobody elses. It's your life and nobody...

Getting Comfortable with the Uncomfortable.

Image
Where am I going? What is happening to me? I feel I'm on edge, but why? What journey am I on and what destination will I find when I get there?  This restlessness that I feel is overtaking my ability to function. I'm going in so many different  directions that I think I'm going insane. I feel detached, isolated, separated from others without a clue as to how to get back to where I use to be. Relax. You've opened your mind to thinking your way into a new you. This happens when you've been bumping your head into the ceiling for so long. Your new skin of discovery is pushing through the old way of conventional wisdom by removing the confines of your mind. You have emerged as one of the new breed of old souls. Sometimes it takes awhile but you're here. Time to get comfortable with the uncomfortable by getting to know your new self. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Fear of the Unknown

Image
I've said it many times before, FEAR is the one emotion that rears it's ugly head multiple times a  day. We sometimes live our lives in fear, waiting for the next shoe to drop.   We wake up thinking ,"I'm going to lose my job, or something's going to happen to our kids." I'm not talking about intuition or empathic gifts or picking up negative vibrations and energy. It's the fear of the UNKNOWN.  We don't know what is going to happen nor do we know how to 'fix'it when it does. We feel helplessly suffocated by our fear of the unknown Yet, millions of people flock to the movies each week to see the latest horror movie.  That's fear we don't mind, because we can conrrol it by walking away from the theatre when the  movie is over or if we walk out because it was too scary. We go, knowing we're going to  be scared, so this is known to us when we decide to go to the movies. However, it's hard to find a solution to the unknown, unl...

The Secret World of a Dream Part 3- What do Dreams Mean?

Image
WHAT DO DREAMS MEAN? The dream world is like walking through a clairvoyant forest. Here's why.  1) SYMBOLIC - Dreams are heavily symbolic...much like clairvoyance. Example- to see death of a  person, including us, doesn't necessarily mean someone is going to die. In most dreams, it means the end  of something. An idea, a path we're on, our career, relationships, etc. Remember, when something dies or is destroyed, something new is created, 2) WE SEE OURSELVES - People we see in our dreams are a reflection of ourselves. Situations in Because so much is going on in our lives, the subconscious brings those thoughts and situations to the  conscious level as a way of seeing ourselves in a different light and bein aware of who we need to be. 3)  UNRESOLVED CONFLICT-  This is the big one..dreams are full of unresolved conflicts that are buried in our subconscious. This means that for whatever reason, conflicts in our lives  have not yet been resolved. I...

The Secret World of a Dream Part 2- Why do we dream?

Image
WHY DO WE DREAM?   The brain receives stimuli from many different sources all day long.   There are far too many stimuli for it to process., so The mind prioritizes the stimuli and makes you aware of those that need immediate attention,so that you may act accordingly.    The stimuli that you are not consciously aware of are nevertheless noted by the brain, but on a subconscious level   Furthermore, you feel emotions all day.  Some you acknowledge and some you repress, especially trauma, and it goes to the sub conscious level.  At night, while our body is asleep, the mind continues to work getting the signals, thousands of  stimuli and enotions to the conscious level. Since we're asleep. we cannot receive the signals at  a conscious level like we would normally do when we're awake, the only way for the brain to get these signals is to dream. It is the portal from the subconscious to the conscious. It is one of the closest...

The Secret World of a Dream Part 1- Does everbody dream?

Image
DOES EVERYBODY DREAM? Dreams have been the topic of many a conversation since the beginning of humankind.   What do they mean? Can they tell us anything about the future? Does everyone dream? The questions are endless, and as part of my studies while on my way to a Doctoral in Philosophy and a PhD in Metaphysical Humanistic Sciences, I studied dream interpretation. Here's what I discovered.  Everybody dreams. We may push back on this, but it's true that everybody dreams no matter how  steadfast we are in our belief that we don't. Here's why everyone dreams. During the day, the brain receives a multitude of stimuli, such as emotions, situations, people, etc. and then prioritizes the ones that need immediate attention, in addition to the experiences that we face  that we denty them happening. .  At night the body rests, but the mind continues to work, such as processing everything that is in the subconscious. The only way to get the signals out of our subcons...

Without darkness, there is no faith.

Image
We have to have darkness in our lives, we can't live without it. It's a curious statement to say we need it, so let's  take a look at darkness. Darkness is a sense of something that is evil. .Darkness is sinister and unforgiving. It is sometimes the very thing that brings us to our knees without warning. It wreaks havoc with the people we love. Knowing all of this and knowing how it plays freely in our minds and daily lives, why do we need it?    Wouldn't we better off without it? Well, without darkness how would we recognize light?  Darkness was here first, then came light, which exposed darkness. so we could recognize the difference. Withour darkness, how would we know to stay close to those with light and to shy away from those  who are surrounded by evil?  How would we develop courage, bravery, strength, determination, resilence, etc. without darkness? However darkness does expose certain people who may need our help providing they will listen and may ev...

The Prayer Garden

Image
During the next few weeks, praying and meditating will be the focus of this blog. Here's the first post. My two best friends, Paul and Rich, have what they call "prayer gardens.' They visualize a place where the people they pray for are in a special, unique, lush  garden that's filled wilh loved ones who have   departed this earth, people in need, and special situations and circumstances that need healing. In today's world, we have have many people and things to pray for, so it is reassuring that there is a place  where all of our prayers are together guided by the mystical hands of the Holy Ones. There's no need to pull the wseeds; that was done for us long ago.

Do we need permission to change?

It seems that we as a people have stopped caring in one particular way. We've stopped caring what  people think of us; and to some extent, that's a good thing. Some say it's an age thing; but I disagree.  I believe that it's personal  experiences that drains us to the point where we absolutely have no energy to respond to the finger pointing and constant criticism. It's not my job  to make people feel good about themselves, while they tear me down under their critical eye.  It's not being dismissive of others, we  just need to find  a place to rest from being exhausted, tired, and  drained from  others offering their opinions about us. What we should wear, how we should 'look', how  we should act, etc.  Some of  these people have good intentions. Their feedback are grounded in sincerity, concern for our  health and well-being. They are offering suggestions not marching orders. We love these people.  because they care....

Are metaphysical gifts from God?

The question shouldn't be "are metaphysical gifts from God?" The questions should be "where did these gifts come from?" Were we born with these or did we acquire them akong the way?  The big questions of course, are these gifts demonic in nature? Are they from the Lord of Demons? (Satan) Some people scoff at all these questions, but metaphysical gifts, in my opinion as a clairvoyant medium, and possessing a Doctorate in Philosophy and a PhD in Metaphysical Humanistic Sciences, are from a higher power. Hopefully, they are used correctly with good intent, acknowledging that we use these gifts for our best and highest  good.  Metaphysics in general go beyond or past the physical. The gifts that are most discussed are psychic, mediumship, and clairvoyant, with mediumship being the most controversial, even though we talk to our loved ones all the time such as when times are tough, or when a memory comes up,etc. One of the reasons mediumship is controversial to some i...

Organized Religion & New Age Spirituality

Why is there a gap between Organized Religion and New Age' Spirituality? Why can't they peacefully co-exist?  Here's some of the comments I've heard about organized  religion and new age spirituality.  ORGANIZED RELIGION- Too controlling, too much guilt & shame, outdated belief system, not a welcoming environment, too much structure, etc.. NEW AGE SPIRITUALLY- no structure, all  metaphysical practices, no borders or boundaries, no consequences, no tradition to build upon, no responsibility when it comes to honoring history & tradition, etc.     I have heard these comments (extreme as they are) as a Catholic and a clairvoyant medium. However, there is a glimmer of hope if  two mindsets can be addressed.  MINDSET NO.1 -RELIGION- Addressing the fact that many (not all) people have left in search of  freedom to explore new ways of connecting to the spiritual realm and to freely express that connection.  MINDSET NO.2- NEW AGE- Re...

The Universal Dream

"Keep an open mind." We've all heard it as it usually pertains to a singular situation. The issue however is that once the mind opens to a new possibility, it soon withdraws, closes, and goes back to its safe place nestled in amongst the pillows of coventional wisdom, We're then told to quit daydreaming and come back to reality.  That's an odd way to look at things isn't it? Aren't we supposed to follow our dreams? Didn't the doers and thinkers of generations past, dream of great accomplishments first before putting them intto practice?  These great inventors,of medical cures, literary excellence, music, art, health, industry, machines, etc. didn't invent themselves...they needed a soul to give them life. Isn't 'come back to reality', code for 'come back to the mundane'? To the normal? To the average, Come back to that place where our espectations for you were and still are limited, because after all, you're not going to do ...

Building Bridges

Isolation is a quiet beast that sneaks up on us and before we know it, we find ourselves alone with no one in sight. There are a multitude of ways that we find ourselves isolated. For some, isolation is their calling of sacredness. For others, however, if we stop and question about how we arrived at this place of loneliness and separation, perhaps there's at least one answer.  One of the reasons could be laying in a distant corner of our mind...bridges. Our mental landscape is littered with bridges that have collapsed around us because of things that have happened. However, upon further inspection of the bridges, it appears there has been some sabotage. We, as saboteurs burned some of those bridges down. Sometimes,we are the cause of our own isolation. Sabotage efforts such as jealously of others, spreading gossip, discrimination, undermining loved ones, being disrespectful, disloyalty, mean spirited, etc. Bridges of life are meant to connect people together. When all the bridges ha...

Code Blue and the Dragonfly

Welcome to my first blog in 5 years. For those who previously followed my blogs, CHANNELING THE MOTHERSHIP and BEYOND THE RATIONAL REALM, welcome to my new blog SPIRITUAL VISION. So, let's begin with this blog that I wrote 5 years ago. 'I spent eight months in the hospital finally getting a heart and kidney transplant in Jan. of 2020. The first 45 days I was in and out of comas and getting shocks to my heart...sometimes multiple times a day.  During this time Mary, my wife designated my sign as a dragonfly. Dragonflies represent New Beginnings, Transformation, Hope, Peace, and Love amongst many other things. Today, I was walking in the medical plaza for a doctors appointment when I came upon a sign that read CODE BLUE Room-Kidney. About 20 feet in the hallway ahead of me was a dragonfly on the floor.  The message and symbolism was not lost on me; time to get moving and live my life.  I survived my ordeal and have proven at the age of 71 that it's never too late to t...
