Spiritual Vision

 It's July 10th, 2019, and I'm in a helicopter speeding to Advent Health Hospital in downtown  Orlando after spending days completely out of my body, mind, and soul at home, not knowing what was happening to me other than I was hurting everywhere especially in the  upper body area. Over the next 238 days I was in the hospital, entering eventually coming home on  March 4th 2020. In the beginning I was in and out of a coma for forty five days as they attempted to find out why the numbers on the machines were going beserk.  No one knew was going on with me, with the exception of it seemed to center around my heart. I was 'code blue' multiple times a day in the beginning although I have no memory of that or scans  that were performed during my stay. I couldn't talk, move my arms and legs, or do much except lay there, count the acoustic tiles, and think to myself, "now I know the definition of the word, surreal.' When I discovered my metaphysical gift of clairvoyance in my mid-fifties, it was a spiritual defining moment for me. I started doing metaphysical readings of clairvoyance and mediumship, in order to help people on their path. It was and still is a moment that brought me closer to God as  much as any church service or mass, (I'm Catholic) ever did. I've done over a thousand readings during that time and as I was approaching my seventies, there was a desire within me to move on from these gifts to explore other gifts that I might have. I began to notice that young people who would come to me for readings, had gifts that I could only dream of.  Gifts of prophecy, psychic abilities, healing, empathic, etc. that just would blow me away. I started to wonder aloud a few things. "Why don't I have those gifts?" "Are my gifts not good enough?" "Am I not 'qualified' to have those gifts?"   So, why do we need validations? We sometimes feel that we're on the right path in life, but we may not be sure, so we seek out people who think like us, look like us, vote like us, have the same interests as us, in order to belong.  Just look at the comments on social media regarding politics. Sometimes it's just too much as friends go against friends. It's US V THEM battle royal. It seems we have to belong to something or someone in order to have our life validated. We need to find our tribe, I get it; I'm no different, but at what cost? Do we need to sacrifice our identity, our essence of who we are to fit in? A couple of years ago, I felt like I didn't fit into life. Things were going well, but for some reason, felt out of place with life. With metaphysical circles, (I'm a clairvoyant) we use the term 'Spirit' to define a higher power. Throughout life, we have ups and down; things that go right and things that don't. Things that were going well; health, relationships, and work; until they jumped off the paper in our  mind and joined the real world and became a disaster. This is true, especially in relationships.  We ask ourselves, "what is wrong with me?" or "am I cursed?" We feel like we're beating our head against the wall time and time again, and nothing is happening. We view ourselves as a failure, as we call ourselves names, (which our body does not appreciate), and resign ourdselves to the fact of this is just the way it is. Nonsense!  Look back on your life and ask yourself, 'when did it ever go right?' If you're honest, you will recall things and situations that went right. You may not have noticed it but there was a flow of energy at that time, that made everything in your life possible. I used to play a lot of tennis, and we called it, "being in the zone."  ...

"Ships are safe in the harbor, but thats not what ships are made for."- Successories Artists, musicians, leaders of commerce, industry, spiritual leaders, technology experts, etc. all have one  thing in common...at one point in their life, they took a risk. They became entrepreneurs.  They went against conventional wisdom by going with their gut and using their intuition in order  to enact change in the world. They didn't play it safe. This is why I led this blog post with that quote from the Successories company. They discovered by bending your mind around problems by thinking laterally and not vertically, they made a difference in the world. They used critical thinking.    "Am I a failure?" "Where did it go wrong?" "What am I supposed to do now?" These thoughts are dangerous to men who have lost their livelihood. This scenario has been happening for decades as companies restructure their organizations. Men in their 40's and 50's are told by companies, both large and small, that they are no longer needed and the company is 'going in a different direction.' Let's face it...sometimes that's  code for "we need someone younger."  To be told in life, that you are no longer of value can be devastating. To some, their value is all they have. I'm not talking about performance based issues. Poor performance has no age barrier. To start over on a new career could be a blessing in disguise, but that conversation needs to happen much later when there's time to look back and reflect. Now is not the time to go down that road.
